FEEDING PROGRAM Introduction. In an effort to help the youths in disadvantaged situation, we must vigorously push for more human resource development programs and leadership capability building activities. One common problem in our community are food. Almost every Filipino are suffering hunger and are starving to death. Feeding program is a powerful influence on a child’s learning and how well a child performs in a school. The effect of under feeding on young children aged (0-8) years can be deviating and enduring in the area of cognitive development, when there isn’t enough food, the body has to make decision about how to invest the limited food staffs. ' This project has already secured funding from the Student Sustainability Collective’s “The Green Initiative Fund,” granting our project an initial installment of $7,876.50. Furthermore, additional funding can be accessed through-out the year through Housing and Dining grants, Residential Life funding, and funding requests from Thurgood Mar. Layout of proposal 1. In realization of the 2001 Katipunan ng mga Kabataan and Sangguniang Kabataan’s General Objective – the KKP and SK shall be committed for the total development of the youth and John Dewey’s ethical contribution – the foundation of a healthy mind is a healthy body, it crosses our mind to conduct a Feeding Program that envisions for a healthy citizenry.

Individuals need to be physically healthy and mentally upright for them to function properly in our society, so this project was conceptualized to sustain and ensure that citizens of Lumbac are eating the right foods especially for the lowly and financially unstable.

The success of this project will be measure after three (3) long months. We will be able to see progress from the malnourished children as they gain weight. Undeniably, three months was too short to see progress, but this project also aspires to teach their families the importance of budgeting and providing healthy foods at a very minimal costs.

Program

This year, SK plans to make this an annual activity to provide the youth a place for sustaining their nutritional needs. Making them pride of Lumbac.
