The installation ended ok but the IrDa doesn't work even installing it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Indeed, see It would seem Microsoft forgot all about change control and decided to remove IR support from the final version of windows 10 thus making all devices that require IR for communications useless. Apparently, Microsoft pulled IrDA support from Windows 10 with no explanation or reasoning and no official answer or any response whatsoever to the many users of IrDa devices (I use a ScubaPro dive computer $1000 which I can no longer connect after upgrading to Windows 10). This is not indicative of a customer-focused company that they claim to be. Windows 10 has been out for a while now with many people across many forums complaining about this issue and still no response. It's been months.
